An Ordinance was introduced at the July 17, 2017 Township Committee Meeting.  The Ordinance would amend  vehicle stopping and  standing on a portion of Old Farmers Road.  A public hearing will take place at the August 21, 2017 Township Committee Meeting. 

 

 

ORDINANCE NO.  RO-11-17

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON, COUNTY OF MORRIS, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, TO AMEND AND SUPPLEMENT   CHAPTER 203, VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, ARTICLE V, SCHEDULES, §203-39 SCHEDULE III:  NO STOPPING OR STANDING

BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Committee of the Township of Washington, in the County of Morris, and State of New Jersey, as follows:

SECTION 1.  Chapter 203, Vehicles and Traffic, Article V, Schedules, §203-39. Schedule III: No Stopping or Standing, of the Code of the Township of Washington, is hereby amended and supplemented by the addition of the following language:

Name of Street                      Location

Old Farmers Road                  On the easterly side (for north-bound traffic), from Forest View Drive to a point 500 feet south therefrom

                                               

SECTION 2.  All ordinances of the Township of Washington that are inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

SECTION 3.  This Ordinance may be renumbered for codification purposes.

SECTION 4.  If any section, subsection, section, clause or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the remaining portions of this Ordinance.

SECTION 5.  This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon final passage, approval, and publication as required by law.
