The 2022 Municipal Budget was approved at the Township Committee's April meeting. The budget includes a 5.6% increase in the amount budgeted. There is only a 1.9% increase in the amount to be raised by municipal taxes as increased grant revenue of almost $600,000 accounted for more than half of the one million dollar budget increase. The estimated increase in municipal taxes for an average-assessed home of $439,230 is about $48 for the year.
Most of the additional grant revenue will be used for capital projects. The 2022 capital plan includes the projects below. Grants include American Rescue Plan and NJDOT funds.
