Washington Township COVID-19 Update, July 13, 2020

Update - Week of July 13, 2020

In the last week, we have four new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) confirmed by the Washington Township Health Department to report on. Our total number of cases confirmed is now at 133, with 12 deaths and 103 released from isolation. I will be providing updates on the number of cases weekly. New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission expiration dates have been EXTENDED for:
- Driver’s licenses
- Non-driver IDs
- Vehicle registrations
- Inspections
- Temporary tags

Documents expired between 3/13 – 5/31 have been extended to 9/30. Documents expiring 6/1 – 8/31 have been extended to 12/31. Visit for more information: https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/

Under the 14-day quarantine travel advisory announced by the Governors of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, individuals traveling to or returning to New Jersey from states with increasing rates of COVID-19 are advised to self-quarantine for 14 days. This includes travel by train, bus, car, plane and any other method of transportation. Currently, there are currently 19 states that meet the criteria stated above. At this Wednesday’s Committee work session, we will be discussing the renewal of the Townships’ energy aggregation program that has provided residents the option to purchase 3rd party energy at a reduced fixed rate.
