Serve Up the Fun: Pickleball Returns to Washington Township This Fall
Washington Township Recreation and TJD Sports Academy are bringing the thrill of pickleball back this fall with high-energy sessions designed for both newcomers and seasoned players. As the fastest-growing sport in the country, pickleball offers a dynamic blend of fitness and fun that’s easy to learn and exciting to master. It’s more than just a game—it’s a social experience that brings people together, builds skills, and gets hearts pumping
This season’s offerings include beginner to advanced beginner lessons at the scenic Rock Spring Park Tennis Courts in Long Valley. Participants can choose Thursday or Saturday mornings starting in mid-September, with five progressive weeks of instruction to help players build fundamentals and confidence. Rain dates are set to ensure everyone gets the most out of their court time.
Thursdays, September 11 – October 16 (rain date October 23), 9:00–10:00 AM or 10:00–11:00 AM Saturdays, September 13 – October 18 (rain date October 25), 9:00–10:00 AM or 10:00–11:00 AMFor those who already know the ropes, “Play with a Pro” sessions will offer an invigorating way to refine techniques and elevate gameplay with expert guidance during open play. These sessions promise to take recreational enthusiasm to the next level while providing a supportive space to grow and challenge yourself.
Registration closes September 9, 2025, so early sign-up is encouraged to avoid a late fee and secure a spot. With limited availability, participants are urged not to wait—whether you're discovering pickleball for the first time or perfecting your skills, this fall is your chance to get in the game.
