Washington Township Recreation Presents: Yoga for Osteoporosis

Washington Township Recreation invites you to discover the benefits of yoga for bone health with our upcoming Yoga for Osteoporosis class. Whether you're living with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis—or simply want to improve strength, posture, and body awareness—this eight-week program is designed to support your well-being through safe, guided movement.

The class focuses on gentle, weight-bearing poses that stimulate bone growth, increase muscle tone, and enhance coordination. Improved balance and posture can reduce the risk of falls, while the calming nature of yoga helps manage stress, which is also important for maintaining bone density.

Classes will be held every Tuesday from September 9 through October 28, 2025, from 8:30am to 9:30am, at the Washington Township Community Center, located at 35 East Springtown Road, Long Valley, NJ. Participants of all experience levels are welcome. Please bring a yoga mat, a towel or small blanket, two yoga blocks, and a yoga strap.

A nonrefundable fee and registration are required by September 5, 2025. A $25 late fee will be charged after the deadline. Registration will not be accepted once classes begin.
