Full Time – Construction Official, Building Sub-code Official & Fire Sub-code Official

Is seeking a full-time Construction Official who will also serve as Building Sub-code Official and Fire Sub-code Official for Washington Township (Morris) and Mansfield Township (Warren). Applicant must possess NJ licenses as Construction Official, Building Sub-code Official with HHS and Fire Sub-code Official with HHS. A Valid NJ Driver’s License required. Experience utilizing SDL is a plus. Duties include: Examine plans for proposed construction to ensure compliance with building and fire sub-codes. Inspects construction jobs and resolves construction problems. Enforces rules and regulations regarding building and fire sub-codes. Initiates legal action against violators. Prepares essential reports. Signs off on CO’s and CA’s and permit approvals.  Salary to commensurate with experience.
