Flu Clinic
We have bad news and good news. The bad news is that the full order of our flu vaccine is back ordered and has not yet been delivered.
The good news is that the distributor was able to get a part of our order delivered. These are reqular, Quadrivalent vaccines – we have no high dose available for our senior population at this time.
We would like to offer these vaccines to you if you are interested. Unlike previous years (because this year is NOTHING like previous years) we are going to offer these vaccines at the Senior Center on E. Springtown Rd. on Thursday, October 22, 2020. They are being offered on a first come, first served ba sis, by appointment only between the hours of 1:00pm and 6:00pm.
This is how we are working the clinic this year …. Attached below is the usual consent form and hold harmless letter that will be completed, scanned and submitted by email to
We are also asking that you take special notice of the additional COVID19 questions (click here). Before you enter the Senior Center, your temperature will be taken and you will be asked to answer these questions. If you are currently quarantined for any reason, are waiting for the results of a COVID19 test or are feeling ill in any way, please do not attempt to attend this clinic, we will have to refuse to inoculate you and someone else may not be able to take advantage of this opportunity.
If you are interested in receiving the regular, Quadrivalent vaccine, and you are a Medicare recipient, we ask that you include, in your email, the full name listed on your Medicare card (including middle initial if applicable), your address and bring your Medicare card with you at your appointed time – someone will be available to take your Medicare number and ask for your signature. If you are not a Medicare recipient, the cost for the vaccination is, once again, $20.00.
We apologize to our Seniors that we are unable to offer you the high dose vaccine at this time. Whether you choose to take advantage of our regular Quadrivalent vaccine or look for the high dose vaccine elsewhere, we encourage you to get the flu shot. This year, more than ever it is important that you take any and every opportunity to keep yourself well. If we are able to procure the high dose in a reasonable time frame we will be sure to let you know, but at this time, it is not available to us.
Thank you for your cooperation …. We look forward to your prompt response and hope to see you on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
