Description

This event is open to Washington Township, Morris County, residents only. Proof of residency will be required.

SHREDDING

Total allowed is 6 boxes per household. Three banker size boxes are free of charge. Three additional banker size boxes permitted @ $10.00 each. The limit of 6 boxes will be strictly enforced. Boxes are to be supplied by residents.

Each box must have a sticker. Stickers may be picked up beginning May 16th at the DPW office, 54 Rock Road, Long Valley, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

It is not necessary to remove staples; paper clips and plastic binders must be removed.

No junk mail, magazines, books, newspaper or shredded paper. These items may be disposed of at the recycling center during its normal hours on Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

No plastic bags – paper grocery bags are permitted.

E-WASTE

Accepted: Televisions, computers, monitors, tablets, laptops, desktop printers, desktop fax machines

Not accepted: microwaves,  keyboards, computer mice, wires, cartridges, projectors, video game consoles, dvd players, stereos, telecommunication equipment, VCRs, telephones, cell phones, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, toaster/toaster ovens, vacuums, leaf blowers, dehumidifiers, coffee pots/makers, radios, garage door openers 

RIGID PLASTIC

Accepted: plastic toys, wastebaskets, laundry baskets, soda and milk crates, plastic garbage and recycling containers, plastic outdoor furniture without pvc pipes, plastic 5 gallon buckets (please remove all metal components) 

Not accepted: gas/oil containers, plastic hangers, medicine bottles, flower pots or trays

BRUSH

Accepted: Brush not exceeding 3”in diameter and 3’ in length, and must be tied  

Not accepted: Stumps, leaves, grass clippings
